She Was Given a Chance. She Made It Count.

“An opportunity can open a door. What a child does with that opportunity can change the course of her life.”

Araadhya Gautam’s Journey

Araadhya comes from a modest family — her mother works as a tailor and her father as an electrician. When Helping Hands Foundation began supporting her education, the purpose was simple: to ensure that her circumstances did not come in the way of her potential. After completing Class 8 at Prerna with a strong academic performance, Araadhya has now earned the opportunity to move into Class 9 at the mainstream Study Hall School.

A New Academic Opportunity

Along with this transition, she has also qualified for SHIP, a selective integrated coaching programme that prepares promising students for competitive examinations such as JEE and NEET alongside their regular schooling. Only two students from Prerna are selected for this opportunity each year. Araadhya was one of them. For the next four years, she will pursue her regular CBSE education while receiving focused academic preparation through SHIP, as she works towards her goal of appearing for the JEE examination.

Supporting Potential Through Education

For Helping Hands Foundation, Araadhya’s journey represents what our Education Initiative ultimately hopes to achieve. Our support goes beyond enabling a child to enter a classroom. It is about recognizing potential, creating access to opportunities, and continuing to support a child as those opportunities become bigger. But the achievement belongs to Araadhya. Given a chance, she worked hard, proved her potential and earned the opportunity to take her education further.

A Future Filled With Possibilities

Her journey reminds us why identifying and supporting potential matters. A child’s circumstances should never determine how far she can go. Today, Araadhya enters Class 9 with a new school, a four-year academic programme ahead of her, and much bigger goals within her reach.

She was given a chance. She made it count. And we are proud to continue walking beside her as she takes the next steps in her journey.
